Ann Melton was a trailblazer in every sense of the word. Starting her political career at the remarkable age of 17, she dedicated 38 years to public service, becoming the first elected female judge executive of Columbia, KY. Ann was a woman with a big heart, known for her philanthropy and unwavering commitment to serving others. She believed passionately that every person, regardless of class, race, religion, or status, deserved equal treatment and access to quality healthcare, including mental health services.
Her daughter, Katie Melton, carries forward Ann’s legacy through The Wellness Hub, a practice built on the values Ann held dear. Before Ann’s passing, she made Katie promise to always uphold a sliding scale for those who could not afford psychotherapy. Today, in honor of Ann, The Wellness Hub proudly continues this tradition, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their financial situation, can access quality mental health care.
It is our great honor to remember Ann Melton and continue her legacy of service to those in need. To learn more about sliding scales, click here.
