“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space lies our freedom and our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our happiness.” -Viktor Frankl
As a licensed Clinical Counselor Associate, I am passionate about helping individuals begin to thrive and notice the little moments that create one’s life. I have worked with an array of individuals of all ages in my previous clinical experience, and I am now working to become an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist. Life can often get in the way of a healthy sex life. I offer a non-judgmental space for individuals to explore issues that may be impacting their intimacy and sexual satisfaction. This can include certain DSM-5 sexual health disorders as well as conversations around Kink and helping individuals and couples break down the barriers in the bedroom. I work under the supervision of Julie Labanz, certified ASSECT Sex Therapist, to create a case plan tailored to individual client needs. Whether someone is currently sexually active or not, stress and anxiety around the topic of sex can greatly impact one’s quality of life. I am excited to work together and improve this area of your life! I am especially passionate about supporting couples in long-term relationships or marriages where sexual connection has not been a central focus.
Common modalities and tools I use include mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and somatic techniques. Therapy provides a space where clients can feel seen, supported, and deeply understood. I strive to create that kind of environment for each person I work with.
I received a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University, and I am currently working towards independent licensure in the state of Kentucky. My specialties include sex therapy, mindfulness, and somatic work.
